The war in Iraq is officially over and Americans are asking themselves, “Was it worth it?” No doubt, the Iraqis are also questioning the benefits of the invasion and occupation. Arguments have already been made over the past ten years regarding any advantage of taking out a secular Sunni tyrant like Saddam to install a corrupt Shi’ite government that bends its loyalties towards Iran. We are a war-weary nation needing to return to peaceful pursuits and reconstructing our own infrastructure. Pulling out of a huge oil-producing region should provide more impetus to accelerate our green energy economy and indeed, the solar industry just posted its best quarter, surpassing the entire year’s installations for 2009. Growth is booming despite the failure of one mismanaged company named Solyndra, now being investigated by a Grand Jury, but we are on the road to recovery if we just keep plugging away. Solar power has been around for over a hundred years but there was extensive use of it as far back as Atlantis. We don’t need to go to war to fight for resources, which is very much the old paradigm we must evolve away from and move toward an egalitarian society based on fair trade and equal rights. Those who argue against such rules are the exploiters of cheap labor and ignorance, often setting up shop in totalitarian regimes with no interest in human rights or civil liberties, motivated only by profits from free trade agreements that leave many workers as indentured servants or virtual slaves. We have had our liberties and rights repealed, reversed and repressed repeatedly under the last two presidents, both with Sun square Neptune, so they just don’t get it; the American people are tired of being victimized but the leaders don’t understand. There needs to be tough new regulations for banks, lending to the little guy being one of the requirements to stay in business, especially with so many returning veterans needing to get back to work. One question may remain unanswered for a while; are they able to work in jobs without war?

Americans have been robbed to the tune of 5000 per person totaling 780 billion that corporations got and the little guy didn’t. That upward shift of wealth to the top 1% has hurt our country more than almost anything else in recent history, driving people to murder-suicide when they lose their jobs, get foreclosed on and have no prospects for getting out of the hole they were pushed into by a shady realtor or mortgage broker. We need to get our people back to work in order to recover some of the lost wealth that has hurt the middle class the hardest, as their savings have evaporated and incomes shriveled to a fraction of what it was. Disenchantment with our electoral system has been higher than ever in the past several years, since the passage of Neptune over the US Moon, which is now passed. We are done with being duped by dopes who have hijacked our government with lobbyist money, corrupting our officials and legislators into allowing business to ruin the land, the economy and our standing in the world. The illusion is over and realistic attitudes and ideas are being shared preferring to alter our course rather than go down with the sinking ship. The 99% get it and it’s time for everyone to recognize how we must change or die.Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
