Full Moon in Cancer on Sunday was in its natural sign culminating in the 10th house with Libra rising at the time on the West Coast, thus reflecting the New Year’s chart, placing Saturn in the 1st, for tightening belts as a result of losing weight, as we are an obese nation. We need to establish taking care of ourselves and each other as our national responsibility and things will get better. Mercury trine Jupiter on the Full Moon brought good news regarding job numbers and the growing exports that result from increased production. Unfortunately, the largest exports were refined gas and diesel fuels, as Mercury and Pluto conjoin in the 3rd house of commerce, Sag on the cusp for international trade. Jupiter in the 7th in Taurus has all of that product to going to foreign ports. The XL pipeline project would be a disaster of great impact to the environment and virtually no new permanent jobs to offset the pain of intrusion, designed to get the tar sand sludge to Houston to be refined and shipped off to ports unknown. It is so much more toxic than normal crude oil and will cause many more cases of cancer. This stuff needs to be left in the ground which can be used for wind and solar energy. The New Moon at 2 degrees Aquarius on the 22nd brings in the Chinese New Year of the Dragon, so prepare for the most powerful year of all. It is the Water Dragon, thus oceans and storms will be prevalent in the news headlines, which scream about floods and droughts as we are experiencing now in the form of a snowless winter so far in many parts of the country. Watch out for the Summer Solstice that has Uranus square Pluto and Jupiter square Neptune rather exact as the summer begins.
