Cancer Skyscope 2012 – Happy Summer…?

Look out, people, as we’re in for some major upheavals, protests, earthquakes and storms that will be rising in the first week of summer resulting from the intense aspects between outer planets developing at the time of the Summer Solstice. Officially, the season begins with the Sun’s entry into Cancer as it reaches its northern extreme latitude at the Tropic of Cancer on June 20th at 4:09 pm Pacific Time and the first event on the horizon is the sextile between Venus and Uranus, a friendly association involving the rulers of Air Signs, Libra and Aquarius, making for favorable deals. Fast on their heels rides the breezy sextile of Mercury in Cancer to Mars in Virgo giving practical and detailed activity to domestic ideas and plans, including fixing up stuff around the home or office. Inspiring creative imagination and self-expression, the Sun trine Neptune on the 23rd flows along with elegant grace giving hope of redemption through the coming challenging years; the tribulations beginning with the first of seven squares between Uranus and Pluto, initiating on the 24th in the wee hours, so expect some rocking and knocking about and nature extends its mighty power to move mountains. There is a disturbance in the force and the evil corrupt corporate criminals have to face the rising revolution of young and old who suffer under austerity and tightening budgets due to higher costs for everything and less available cash along with the aforementioned corporate criminals. Religious fanatics will deceive people to further victimize those who are gullible enough to believe in an external god that runs the universe but judgment is undermined under the influence of Jupiter square Neptune, which can also cause floods and droughts in addition to the severe storms you see on The Weather Channel. This is the 25th, a day on which Saturn turns direct and Mercury enters Leo, empowering our minds and wills to attain our professed goals. Two days later, Venus finally turns direct close to Jupiter in the early morning sky, leading many back to a state of equilibrium while others need to be on lithium or some other anti-psychotic as it has been a crazy couple of months in an insane year. Dragon years are often eventful but this is ridiculous. On the 29th, it’s the Sun’s turn in the spotlight as it moves into a difficult T-Square with Uranus and Pluto only slightly ameliorated by Mercury sextile Jupiter that benefits open, honest communication on many levels including politically and internationally. All this and we’re only about a third of the way through Cancer. Next up, we have the Full Moon in Capricorn on the 3rd as Mars enters Libra, sign of war and peace while Capricorn is about authority and control. Additionally, there is an alignment with the Moon and Pluto called an occultation because the Moon passes over the exact position of the outermost planet and obscures it from view, intensifying emotions for the day. Information and elementary education are under the domain of Mercury, very active on Independence Day, when it makes a sextile to Venus and a trine to Uranus as Venus makes the sextile to Uranus as well. Brilliant ideas will be sparked by a gathering of smart thinkers and scholars who share plans for the future, possibly discussing a mission to the asteroid belt. After the Full Moon flurry of activity we have a lull until Uranus turns retrograde on the 13th, a day before Mercury turns retrograde while making another sextile to Venus. It’s never fun when the winged messenger turns around but there is additional weight falling around us, bearing down with the pressure of the Sun square Saturn, stifling creativity and frustrating personal ego desires. This is not the time to begin anything new as confidence is low and there are too many obstacles in the way of success. Things will get better after the New Moon on the 18th/19th but first, on the 17th, Mars gets busy with a trine to Jupiter although both planets are in their detriment, Mars in Libra and Jupiter in Gemini; later in the afternoon, the red planet squares Pluto, foreboding intense rage at the games the masters play. The month of Cancer is saved by a friend in a high place as the last aspect going out the door is Jupiter sextile Uranus (21st), considered to be very fortunate with unexpected good luck a trend and liberal ideals and causes are promoted. Occurring as it does during the retrograde, it makes sense that it will come around and form the same aspect in February of 2013 but it will not be exact, so take advantage of the sudden opportunities now and try to ignore Mercury retrograde. Good luck with that. Should you need guidance on how to cope with the universal forces, contact me for a reading.
