Arab Spring inspires American Autumn

The Occupy Wall St movement has gathered momentum and will be a force in the coming election, throwing out the liars, crooks and fools who play a corrupt game of money-for-access and a revolving door from government into the private sector. Only when the money is removed from the political games can the playing field be level enough for anyone to participate. Professional legislators were never the intention of the founders or framers of the constitution as long-term entrenchment leads to corruption. One cannot support the citizens of their districts if they are receiving large amounts of money from corporate interests that run contrary to the needs to the people. We have reached the cancer stage of political corruption to the extent that they are bowing to the billionaires’ boys club that holds the economic power of the world. Grabbing every bit of productive land in underdeveloped countries, they exploit the terrain and the inhabitants to the point of environmental and cultural catastrophes for the whole world. Fixating on single crop production like Indonesia’s palm oil problem constitutes the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Evicting indigenous people from their traditional homelands is a crime, as Americans know from the effort to put Indians on the reservations. Our inability to see the benefits of cooperation has been furthered by those who would rape the land and its resources for profit without considering the effect of those who lose out. This operates on the local level as well as international and it devastates economies and the populace affected by the takeover of private lands by governments who hand it over to corporations. This kind of eminent domain is wrong in every regard and needs to cease. It isn’t as though the evicted are compensated and relocated to a similar place; they’re just thrown out from their homes and native lands. We advance towards the revolution and the world will change as a result of the square from Uranus to Pluto and we’ll see it unfold over the next four or five years. Astrologers have seen this before; great movements of people reflecting the outer planets moving into powerful aspects. Uranus and Pluto got together in the middle of the ‘60’s and we witnessed the civil rights movement’s accomplishments in the Voting Rights Act and other progressive laws and programs to fight poverty and injustice. Previously, when last the two met in a square, it was the aftermath of the Crash of ’29 and the Great Depression that ensued. We had the crash of ’08 and the recession followed it in the run-up to the next square. Both were partially engineered by Goldman Sacks, the broker-banker that broke the system by introducing derivatives that blew up the global economy by selling worthless junk that had been highly rated. None of the big banks have been held accountable for their complicity in this financial devastation. Wouldn’t it be nice of they paid everyone back?
